Dr. Triratna Bajracharya

Prof. Tri Ratna Bajracharya, Ph.D., is a Senior Research Fellow at the Research Institute for Sustainability (RIFS) at GFZ, Potsdam, Germany, and a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He has held several key leadership positions, including Dean of the Institute of Engineering, Director of the Centre for Energy Studies, and President of the Nepal Engineers’ Association. His research focuses on sustainable energy systems, hydropower sustainability, and renewable energy technologies. Prof. Bajracharya has led numerous international collaborations, working with organizations such as the European Union, NORAD, ADB, and DAAD, and has played a pivotal role in shaping energy policies in Nepal. As a leading expert in energy transitions and sustainability, he continues to drive impactful research, policy advocacy, and academic development.
